William Ridge Cellars - Pinot Noir 2023

Willamette Valley, Oregon

Description

The grapes for William Ridge Cellars are grown in shallow volcanic rich soils from ancient lava flows, combined with marine sedimentary rocks and alluvial deposits. This rocky terrain of well-drained soil produces small grapes with great concentration. The cool climate of the Willamette Valley creates Pinot Noirs with great balance and yields wines of distinctive varietal character.

Tasting notes

The William Ridge Cellars Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley in Oregon exudes a pure fruit expression, with aromas and flavors of raspberry and fresh strawberries accented by savory spices. The palate is plush, balanced and smooth with a layered and lengthy finish.

Food pairing

A very versatile Pinot Noir for food pairings, including barbecued salmon, gourmet burgers, roasted chicken or grilled pork chops.

Cole Cellars - Sauvignon Blanc 2023

Family owned and operated, known for producing sustainably farmed grapes and high-quality wines. Located in Lodi, California – a region known for its Mediterranean climate.

Sauvignon Blanc grapes are from the historic Mohr-Fry Ranches.

Vinification

Cole Cellars Sauvignon Blanc is made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc. It is fermented & aged in temperature controlled stainless steel fermentation tanks at 58 degrees to maximize fruit expression. It is made from 100% whole cluster pressed & fermented grapes. The grape stems add complexity & balances acidity. This results in a crisp, fresh & delicate wine which is also better for aging.

Tasting Notes

Cole Cellars is a classic Sauvignon Blanc with a fresh bouquet of honeydew, guava & light floral notes. It is light bodied with crisp & refreshing acidity and a touch of minerality with a lively & elegant finish.

Food Pairing

It is excellent as an aperitif but great with seafood, chicken, green vegetables, salads & herb forward sauces (pesto, chimichurri).
