Zinzilla – Zinfandel

Produced by McNab Ridge from Mendocino, California.  Once known as the McNab Ranch, the property was originally homesteaded in 1868, by Alexander McNab, a Scottish immigrant. The original property consisted of thousands of acres of land, including the McNab Valley where the winery now stands. Nestled at the back of the valley, McNab Ridge is surrounded by some of the finest vineyards in Mendocino County.

Rich Parducci is a fourth-generation winemaker. His great-grandfather Adolph Parducci founded Parducci Winery in 1932. He entered the industry at age 12 and has worked in almost every facet of the industry, from bottling, vineyard, laboratory to cellar. Rich is an award-winning winemaker; he makes wines in his own unique style and finds a way to honor his great-grandfather’s history at the same time.

Blend of:

85% Zinfandel

10% Petite Sirah

3% Pinotage

2% Syrah

Tasting notes

The aromas and tastes of ZINZILLA are blackberry, boysenberry, raspberry, and dark cherry. This wine gives new meaning to the term “jammy”. ZINZILLA expresses dense layers of berries, chocolate, pepper and spice. This big brooding monster Zinfandel may color your teeth, but it is very balanced and won’t overpower your palate. Big wines are meant to accompany big food. Barbecue, ribs, burgers, and grilled steak are all excellent pairings.

Les Dauphins - Cotes Du Rhone

Produced by Celliers Les Dauphins in the Cotes Du Rhone Appellation of the Rhone Valley in France. The Les Dauphins brand is inspired by the early 1920s, a time when Paris was enjoying a glorious period of post-war decadence known as Les Anées Folles (The Crazy Years!). Art, literature, cinema and music were thriving in France’s capital and these creative minds also fell in love with France’s iconic wines.

Les Dauphins is crafted by a small network of family winemakers from the Dauphiné region of the Rhône Valley who joined forces to make delicious wines that fueled the creative revolution in bistros across Paris. The Dauphiné supplied countless Parisian restaurants and became extremely popular thanks to the exuberance and versatility of their wines, which paired beautifully with classic French bistro dishes.

Today, Les Dauphins continues to uphold this legacy of excitement and creativity with their fabulous portfolio of excellent red, white and rosé wines from vineyards in the Southern Rhône. Headed up by talented winemaker Guillaume Valli, Les Dauphins favors those traditional grape varieties that have inspired palates for generations; Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. The result? Beautifully balanced, energetic and fruit-driven wines that are the ultimate accompaniment to quiet evenings in and special occasions alike.

Blend of:

60% Grenache

40% Syrah

Tasting notes

This wine displays a deep red hue with ruby tints and notes of sun-ripened black fruit on the nose. The palate offers a velvety texture and spicy notes underpinned by ripe black fruit, blackcurrants and black cherries. A more modern take on the traditional Côtes du Rhône style, this wine combines structure, freshness and smooth tannins. It has a seductively elegant, intense and long-lingering finish. Perfect accompaniment to salads, plate of assorted cooked meats, roast dishes and cheese.

Explosive cranberry, strawberry, and watermelon fruit on the nose and palate, with firm acidity and a dose of minerality. Silky richness in the mouth, with good complexity and extended length on the palate. A great sipper, this works well as an aperitif or with light fare.
